| Tangible results of peace process to emerge soon: Hakeem Yaseen | | | Early Times Reporter Budgam | Apr 10 Exuding confidence that tangible results of peace process will emerge soon, Minister for Transport and Public Grievances Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has called upon all the stake holders in the process to work for its time bound realization. Addressing a public meeting at Kremshore Khansahib, Yaseen said development of the state can be ensured when there is peace and during last six years of the coalition rule all round development of the state was possible because of the prevailing tranquil environment. He urged people to remain united against divisive forces who are bent upon harming the interests of the people and the state adding that violence does not serve anybody's interest. Later, speaking at a function held to commemorate Mehjoor Day organized by Barg-i-Chinar Mehjoor Cultural organization at Arigam, the Minister said the message of peace, tolerance and mutual brotherhood as preached by the saints and poets has stood the test of time and the same needs to be promoted vigorously today as it is need of the hour. Paying rich tributes to the legendary poet, the Minister said Mehjoor who is called as Iqbal of Kashmir through his revolutionary poetry ushered a change which touched not only the social and economic but also the political fabric of the state. Hakeem Yaseen said the valley which has remained abode of peace from ancient times will regain it glory as the ongoing peace process is surely to bring lasting peace in the state.
