| Organizing GMGJ yatra a historic event, SGPB | | | Early Times Reporter

State Gurdwara Parbandhak Board today said that the main aim and objective of Guru Manyo Granth Jagriti Yatra was to have the glimpses of 300 old Holy Guru Granth Sahib and Shastaras for the public and to spread the message and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji for universal love and brotherhood.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, MLC T S Wazir stated that displaying of Guru Granth Sahib and Shastaras through Guru Manyo Granth Jagriti Yatra was a great idea of organizers in connection with the tri-centenary at Takhat Hazoor sahib.
He also said that the yatra awfully proved that the message of Guru Granth Sahib and the great Guru Gobind Singh Ji after even 300 years is as fresh as when delivered.
Highlighting the efforts of administration in connection with this yatra, he said that government had provided every kind of help to make the historic event a memorial one.
He said this yatra also preaches the teachings and messages of the tenth Guru Gobind Singh Ji for maintaining communal harmony, brotherhood, solidarity, love and fraternity.
The Sikh Sangat of the state also demanded establishing a chair in the name of Guru Gobind Singh Ji at University of Jammu, naming road from Bikram Chowk to Railway Station as Guru Gobind Singh Marag, implementations of recommendations of minority commission in the state and permanent settlement of PoK refugees in this part of the state.
Other leaders of the Sikh Sangat were also present during the press conference. |
