Non-Gazetted Forest official association held protest over pending demands
1/17/2019 10:26:43 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 17: Forest Employees under the Banner of Non-Gazetted Forest Official Association held a protest at Van Bhawan, Jammu In front of all Divisional Offices citing their genuine agreed demands.
The forest employees in a single voice demanded implementation of agreement extended between Pr. Chief Conservator of Forests, J&K and Association leaders wherein the authorities assured through written agreement to NGFOA that the demands are genuine and will be settled within 20 days but after lapse of more than three months the demands were not fulfilled.
While addressing the employee's, State President Nazir Ahmed Mir said that the authorities deceived this association. We have lost more than 100 employees in protection of forests but the department has not fulfilled the demand of risk allowance and 21/2 days extra salary till date.
He alleged that the Chief Conservator of Forests, Jammu and all Conservator of States are deliberately delaying the process of convening DPCs without any justification. This is clear injustice with innocent employees.
The leader demanded fulfillment of demands as removal of Pay Anomaly, release of two & half day extra salary in favour of forest frontline employees, risk allowance. Further an inordinate delay in convening DPC's of all Cadres, reorganization of the department and regularization, release of wages in respect of daily wagers, casual laborers, and seasonal laborers and consolidated workers of the department.
The leaders and employees in one voice appealed to Governor, J& Advisor (K), Chief Secretary, J&K, Commissioner/Secretary, Forests and Pr. Chief Conservator of Forests to fulfill the genuine, agreed demands of forest employees on top priority to encourage the forest front line employees as per agreement. He added that if the demands are not fulfilled and formal orders are not issued the agitation will continue in all three regions of state.
