| Core Group reviews security scenario | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 10 Expressing hope that the relentless counter insurgency and counter terrorist operations would continue to facilitate speedy return of normalcy in Jammu region, the Secretary Advisor and GOC 16 Corps Lt. Gen R K Karwal has complimented every one for their peerless and unparalleled synergy in containing militancy in the state as a whole. Chairing the meeting of the Core Group to review the prevailing security situation and the measures being taken up for the ensuing move of government offices to summer capital, the GOC reiterated that there will be zero tolerance of Human Rights violations and collateral damages. He asked the security forces to exhibit utmost restraint in this regard during the conduct of operations. State Director General of Police stressed on the necessity of ensuring a secure environment in run up to the elections scheduled for the later part of the year. The meeting was among others attended DG Police, Commissioner SB, IG Police, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Deputy Director IB, IGs of BSF,CRPF, GoC of various formations besides other senior civil, police and security forces officials. |
