| DM imposes ban on transportation of bovine animals | | |
UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 28 -To keep an halt on the illegal transportation of bovine cattle outside the jurisdiction of district Udhampur for slaughtering purposes which causes annoyance to a large section of people of Udhampur district, the District Magistrate, Udhampur, Mr. O. P. Kalandria in exercise of powers vested to him under section 144-Cr. P.C. has prohibited the carriage of bovine animals like cow, ox, bull and buffaloes from Udhampur to any other district. The animals can however be transported by seeking prior permission of District Magistrate on production of a certificate issued by a Veterinary Doctor.
The order shall remain in force for a period of two months with immediate effect. |
