| Revive rates of Nazoo lands or face agitation: FONL | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 11 Greeting exhausted from repeatedly assurance made by the various senior minister from the last two months regarding to revision of the irrational rates fixed by the government the forum of the Nazool lands. Lease holders and occupants of Nazool land (FONL) warned the state administration to fulfill their assurances or ready to face agitation. This was stated by the president, FONL, Inderjeet Khajuria, while addressing a press conference here today. Speaking on the occasion, Khajuria also serves ultimatum to the administration that if the demands of the forum were not meet till April 17, the forum would start its agitation from the said date. He further alleged that due to the some vested interest in the political circle as well as bureaucrat circle the chief minister has been mislead about their genuine demands and as result about 40,000 families are getting badly affected as the government has already served them notice to pay at such exorbitant rates of the their lands occupied by them for last 80 years. The forum further urged upon the chief minister to constitute fresh rate fixatation committee which include MLA and representative of people, going to affected under the said act. Among others spoke on the meeting were SS Pathania, Gagan Singh, Som Nath Sharma and Rajinder Singh. |
