| `Dandia Festival’ on Ramnavmi at Sprawling Buds | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 11 In order to aware the younger generations about the traditional values and customs, Sprawling Buds, Kindergarten of Sunrise School organized `Dandia Festival’ on the eve of Ramnavmi and Baisakhi at the school premises at Chinore, Bantalab, near here today. Girls clad in Lehnga-Choli and boys in Sherwani danced on the dandia numbers to celerbrate the occasion. In addition, young students from Kindergarten performed cultural programme. Clad in specially designed dresses depicting Goddess Sita, God Ram, Lakshman and Hanuman thereby attracting the attention of everyone. The students were also briefed about the importance of the festivals of Ramnavmi and Baisakhi by the Principal of the School, Puja Sharma. Later, the participants in Dandia dance were given away prizes by the Directors of the School, Rahul Sharma and Ramesh Khajuria. Speaking to the students, the Directors laid stress on celebrating the festivals of all religions with enthusiasm and fervor. |
