| Sports Policy: Kapoor endorses DGP’s proposal | | | Early Times Reporter

Financial Commissioner, Home, S S Kapoor today endorsed the idea of a comprehensive sports policy for Jammu and Kashmir Police mooted by the Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda so as to bring in desired results.
Speaking on the closing function of the Inter-Zonal Sports Meet of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Financial Commissioner appreciated the idea mooted by the DGP and assured him of all help in giving it (sports policy) a practical shape.
“Today I am here to encourage sports and the idea of framing a sports policy for the J&K Police is a welcome step. I will see that the sports policy becomes a reality very soon,” said the Financial Commissioner in address to the participants and other distinguished gathering.
He further said, “I ensure you (DGP) that State Home Department is always there to help the sports grow in the State.’
Financial Commissioner appreciated the J&K Police for maintaining the standards in upkeep of the available sports infrastructure saying that `still there is scope to improve the things further’.
Earlier, the Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda welcomed the chief guest and other distinguished guests, including the Vigilance Commissioner, Dr Ashok Bhan at the valedictory function. He disclosed that Jammu and Kashmir Police is in the process of framing a comprehensive sports policy to tap the talent and then groom them into medal winners at national and international level. |
