Department of History today reached the final of Inter-Department Cricket Tournament of University of Jammu beating Department of Physical Education by one run in a nail-biting finish at the University grounds, here.
Chasing a target of 156 runs set by Department of History to win, Physical Education Department lost all their wickets in the last ball of the 20th over on 154 thereby losing the semi-final by one run.
The highlights of the match included Vikas’s 37-ball 60 runs for History Department and 29-ball 47 runs by Atul Sharma of Physical Education. Vikram Singh Jamwal bowled well for Physical Education taking four for 14 in four overs. |
