Mankotia announces Rs.5 lakh for school road

Minister of State for Education and Health, Peer Mohammad Hussain has said that better education and good direction could develop talented base of educated youth, adding youth are the builders and architects of the nation.
He was speaking at an Annual Day cum prize distribution function of Prashant Public High School Nagrota Udhampur today.
Among others Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA, Udhampur, Chief Education Officer, Udhampur, CPO, Udhampur, Neelam Gupta, Principal Prashant Public High School, ZEOs of various blocks, Principals of various schools, prominent citizens and parents of the students were present on the occasion.
The Minister said that education was the primary requirement for development of every nation, adding no nation or society could make headway in any sphere of life with out good education and proper guidance. He said large network of government as well as private educational institutions were functioning in the state with modern facilities and qualified teachers to take the education in the remotest parts of the state. He said a number of projects were completed in the education sector, adding more projects would be launched soon to expand the existing infrastructure base in the district.
Peer said education being priority of the government was getting due attention at every level.
Peer Hussain said that teachers were playing a vital role in creating a base of educated and talented youth and asked them to put more efforts to take students at a level where they could prove their ability and in mettle. He said it was the responsibility of the parents to guide their wards properly at home and the responsibility of teachers was to impart better education to students.
Mankotia, MLA also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the role of education in the life. Appreciating the role of the school management, Mankotia said that he was sure that school will definitely bring a good name in education by way of creating talented students. He announced release of Rs. 5 lakh for repairs and widening of the road leading to the school out of his CDF. Regarding the demand for installation of water hand pump in the school, Mankotia said that matter would be taken up with the concerned ministry and assured its early installation.
Minister later gave away prizes among the meritorious students. He also granted Rs.5000 to the students of the school for refreshment. Colorful cultural programme was also presented on the occasion.
