Shastri hails higher power committee to examine pay report

Expressing satisfaction for setting up of a high power committee of secretaries by the union cabinet to examine pay panel report, Subash Shastri president of the National Mazdoor Conference stressed for time bound submission of recommendations by the committee.
Reacting on the decision Shastri hoped that the committee of the secretaries headed by cabinet secretary K.M Chandrasekher would take care of concern on the pay commission report, remove anomalies and provide justice to all categories of salaried class. He said that the pay hike structure be in a such manner that it provides relief to fixed income group and also does not widen the gap of inequality in the salaries and perks among different sections of officials.
Shastri also reiterated has demand that the new pay scales be implemented simultaneously for central and states government employees across the country in one go.
He also suggested that central should provide package for resource deficit like Jammu and Kashmir to meet expenditure on account of pay revision.
