| CB new DG of CII | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 12 President Confederation Indian Industry (CII) that CII had selected and internal senior executive, Chanderjit Banerjee, currently deputy director general better known as CB to the next director general of CII. As per press release CII assessed both external and internal candidates and decided on CB as the most suitable CB has a long innings with CII, during which time he has managed several affiliated industry associations, including the Indian earthmoving construction association the Tractor Manufactures Associations (TMA) to name a few. In the course of his career, CB has dealt with all aspects of CII work including policy issues, sectoral work events organization and internal staff function. CB has served CII in various locations as the head of state and regional offices of CII such as Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmadabad, Chennai, Chandigarh, Mumabi and Bangalore. The 45-years old CB has served CII for 20 years and could potentially lead CII for the next 20 years. The CII president expressed strong confidence in Charanjeet Banerjee’s ability to lead CII into the future. He is young dynamic energetic and will lead CII well, he added. On the occasion Banerjee said I am overwhelmed with the trust of CII in me. These are the best of time in India and yet the most challenging. I shall work with the outstanding team in CII support India’s high growth and inclusive development. |
