CS flags off Baisakhi Run

As a part of Jammu Festival, Chief Secretary B. R. Kundal flagged off Baisakhi Run/Heritage Wall from Mubarak Mandi complex here this morning. The "Run" organized by department of Tourism in collaboration with "Extreme Himalayan Adventure" after passing through various places of old city culminated at Rajinder Park.
Students from about 17 schools participated in the run.
Highlighting the significance of events like Heritage walk, Kundal said that they help in getting through the message of social harmony, national integration and mutual camaraderie.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sudhanshu Pandey, Secretary Tourism Nayeem Akhtar and Director Tourism Ajay Khajuria were also present on the occasion.
Later, J&K Police arranged breakfast to the students who participated in the Baisakhi Run.
The Inspector General of Police K. Rajindera personally interacted with the children and inspected the arrangements for breakfast and Ragunath Bazar Association installed the water stalls for the participants.
