| PNB to cover 2000 students under education loan | | | Early Times Reporter

Punjab National Bank (PNB) founded on Baisakhi day in 1985 decides to celebrate its 114th birth anniversary by launching a PAN state education loan drive under campaign BLESS 2008. The world BLESS 2008 expand to bank loan for every successful student. Zonal Manager of the bank Vivek Arya said that the campaign shall be dedicated to the spread of higher in the state an a minimum 2000 students of the state shall be given free education loans for higher and technical education in various institutions within and outside the state. He said that no collateral security is being sought for these loans upto 4 lacs an amount under which major courses in engineering, medical science and management can be completed. Arya advised students to register themselves with nearby branches of the bank for availing loans under this scheme. Officers of the bank also started the campaign by distributing pamphlets and educating parents outside test centres for IIT 2008 in Jammu. He further added that education is a essential catalytic agent for progress and development of the country and any investment in this sector is bound to play a major role in shaping the future of the country. |
