| BJP leader urges colleagues to gear up interaction | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 14 Leaders of the state unit of the BJP were today urged to activate their channels of interaction with people so that the party fared well in the next Lok Sanha elections. The elections are due in 2009. Addressing party leaders,including those from various districts,the National secretary BJP,Ms Kiran Ghai,who is also incharge of the party affairs in Jammu and Kashmir,said that the BJP was preparing for winning over 290 Lok Sabha seats so that it could form the Government with the support of its allies.She said the BJP high command is keen that Jammu and Kashmir which has five Lok Sanha seats also contributed to the realization of the BJP’s dream of securing absolute majority. She advised partymen in Jammu and Kashmir to remain united and prepare the ground for the party candidates to achieve victory in the Lok Sanha poll.She wanted the party to have a strong pary base in each district and tehsil of the state which could ensure the BJP an edcge over its rivals in the election. The BJP leader referred to the misrule of the UPA Government and said that its failure to check inflation could be easily exploited by the BJP not only in Jammu and Kashmir but in other states.She wanted the party activists in Jammu and Kashmir to start their anti-Congress campaign right now by visiting towns and villages for meeting people. |
