Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 14 The Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) have urged upon the state government to revise the minimum wages in favour of unskilled and semi skilled worker as prices of all essential items increased day by day and as such it becomes impossible for the workers to carry with low wages. Addressing the worker of BMS its state president, Vijay Chandel said government is going to implement recommendation of sixth pay commission for its employees, but on the other hand poor skilled and skilled workers working in private concern are being paid low wagers. He further said, this a great injustice with poor workers. He said, minimum wages be looked with consumer price index at par with other states, which will benefit poor workers. Among others present in the meeting were, L.R Singh, N.K Gupta, Ashok Chowdhary, Harbans Chowdhary, Karnal Chand, Sachin Bali, Shamsher Chand, Son Dass and Major Singh. |
