| Pak Currency: BJP says PDP took Cong in confidence | | | Early Times Reporter

BJP State President Ashok Khajuria on Tuesday accused Congress high command, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and state Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for maintaining stoic silence and not doing enough to check the utterances of PDP leaders bent upon subverting the Indian state.
In a press statement the state BJP chief said that the BJP has no doubt that whatever the PDP has been advocating, it is advocating after taking the Congress High Command and the Prime Minister into confidence and this, according to the BJP, is a rather dangerous development in the contemporary political history of India.
" We wonder who has given full liberty to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti and her father & party patron Mufti Mohd. Sayeed to subvert the Indian state both from within and outside.,"Khajuria said urging the Indian nation to take a serious note of the baneful influence of the Congress-PDP unholy alliance on the polity.
Meanwhile activists of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM), led by State General Secretary & Morcha Prabhari Shamsher Singh Manhas and BJYM Distt. President Pranav Gupta, today held a massive protest demonstration at Kachi Chawni Chowk and burnt the effigy of PDP patron & former Chief Minister Mufti Mohd. Sayeed for his assertion of allowing use of Pakistani currency in the state.
Khajuria said that the continued alliance between the Congress and the PDP despite such developments is yet another proof that the Congress approves of what the PDP has been doing and saying to vitiate the political atmosphere and promote fissiparous tendencies He said both the father and her daughter have been indulging in anti-national activities by advocating publically such pernicious ideas as joint control, shared sovereignty, dual power sharing arrangement, economic independence for the state and freedom to use Pakistani currency, alongwith Indian currency, in the state.
Ashok Khajuria said that the acceptance of any of these suggestions would surely promote worst form of communalism, strengthen the separatists and dismember India. He said the BJP is not surprised over what the PDP has been doing to unsettle things in the state and help the Pakistani cause. He said what has shocked the BJP and the nation all the more is the covert support of the Congress for what is being done by the PDP to erode Indian identity
He urged upon the people to see through the dubious gameplan of the Congress and PDP and strengthen the hands of the BJP so that it is able to neutralize the baneful influence on this deadly combination and protect and advance the national cause, as also the cause of the ignored regions of Jammu and Ladakh and other marginalized religions and ethnic groups in the nation. |
