| Court grants 15 days judicial remand to Capt Chataniya | | | Early Times Reporter

Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity Jammu Mr. MK Sharma granted judicial remand of 15 days to Captain Chataniya Bhatwadaker, who was produced in custody by the Gangyal Police today at 4.pm before the Court for remanding the accused to Judicial Custody.
According to the police case Capt Mega Razdan, w/o Capt Bhatwadaker, was found hanging on July 1, 2007 at Kunjwani Army Quarters and police initiated investigation in the mysterious death and registered a case U/Ss 306 (abetment) & 498-A (cruelty) RPC against Capt Chatanya Bhatwadekar.
While granting judicial remand, the Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity, directed the investigating officer to complete the investigation expeditiously
The accused was arrested in the case on April 1, 2008 in FIR 34/2008 u/s 306/498-A RPC and the investigation of the case was still in progress.
In the meanwhile, 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Mr. AK Koul after hearing Adv Vishal Kapur appearing for the Capt Chataniya Bhatwadaker ordered APP to produce the case dairy on next date of hearing in bail application which is pending in this Court. JNF |
