| Rare Quran manuscript donated | | | Early Times Reporter

A 200-year-old manuscript of the Holy Quran was among hundreds of rare books and manuscripts donated by people to Allama Iqbal Library of Kashmir University here, a spokesman said here today.
"People from all walks of life donated hundreds of books and manuscripts including a 200-year-old manuscript of the Holy Quran to the Allama Iqbal Library following an appeal by vice-chancellor Prof Riyaz Panjabi," university spokesman Shoukat Shafi said. Panjabi renewed his appeal to the people to contribute to the rich collection of Iqbal Library."Let us preserve it for posterity," the vice-chancellor said. |
