| JURSEA stage protest against Mufti | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 16 Jammu University Research Scholars Executive Association activists staged a demonstration today at University campus and torched the effigy of former Chief Minister and PDP patron, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed who has stated that Pakistani currency be allowed in J&K State. The demonstration was led by President JURSEA, Vikas Sharma. The JURSEA activists raising slogans against the PDP and Mufti Mohammed Sayeed warned that nationalist forces will never allow the use of Pakistani currency in J&K. They alleged that PDP and its leaders were harming the national interests by their anti national and pro separatists statements and the Government should take action against them. The demonstrators alleged that PDP leaders were befooling and exploiting the people by such statements just to seek their vote and support in the ensuing Assembly elections. Addressing the demonstration Viaks said by demanding use of Pakistani currency in J&K, Sayeed wants to facilitate subversives in their activities in J&K. Taking Congress led coalition Government to task, he said as the the Government was not taking these developments seriously shows that there is an understanding seriously between the two parties. He further demanded immediate expulsion of Mufti Mohd. Sayeed from the legislative council so that law making body is freed of such elements which is working against the constitutional frame work and endangering the safety of the general public and posing threat to the unity and integrity of the country. Among others who presented on the occasion included kamldeep Singh, Rakesh Chib, Rajeev Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Munish, Gurcharan Singh, Vikram , Vijay , Rajesh , Sandeep Sharma and Vinay Sharma. |
