| Charak inspects construction work on Guest House, Boys hostel | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 16 Minister for Higher Education and ARI Trainings, Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak inspected on going construction work of guest house of GGM Science college and students hostel in Commerce college here today. Guest house being constructed at a cost of Rs. 91.30 lakh would provide residential facilities for college teachers of Mufasil colleges of Jammu as well as Kashmir Division, Minister was told that guest house constructed at par with guest house in Jammu with an accommodation of air conditioned 12 rooms with attach bath rooms and dress room would also provide comfort to resource persons of NAAC, UGC, AICTE, and ICSR who visit Jammu for national events and inspections. Officers of JKPCC, informed Minister that Rs. 2.51 crore is being spent on construction of hostel at Commerce college expected to accommodate 125 students having a capacity of 39 rooms for the students studying in the college and belong to faw off places of the state. Mr. Charak said that construction of guest house was a dream project, which is coming true. He directed the executing agencies to speed up the construction work and complete it within ten days. Minister also went round the examination hall in both the colleges, where students of B.A/B.Sc. Final year are undergoing annual examination. Principal Commerce College Prof. M.S.Baloria and Principal Science College Prof. Vijay Kotwal, President Jammu and Kashmir College teachers Association Jammu wing, Prof. Ajeet Angral and other faculty members accompanied the Minister. |
