JKBOSE Class 12th exams for Jammu division postponed due to curfew post Pulwama attack

Jammu, Feb 20: JKBOSE Class 12th Exam 2019: Annual Exams which were scheduled to be held on 23rd and 26th February 2019, have been postponed until further notice by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE). In a notification released today i.e. 20th February 2019, JKBOSE stated, 'It is hereby notified for information of all the concerned that examination pertaining to Higher Secondary Part-II (Class -12th ) Regular Annual Session 2019 (Summer Zone) Jammu Division, scheduled to be held on 23-02-2019 and 26-02-2019 has been postponed.'
Though the Jammu and Kashmir Education Board has not cited any reason for the deferment of these exams, however, due to Pulwama Attack on the CRPF convoy, the entire region is sealed with curfew owing to violence during Jammu Bandh.
As per the JKBOSE Class 12th Annual Exam Timetable for Regular Annual Session 2019 (Summer Zone) Jammu Division, JKBOSE was scheduled to organize the following subject examinations on the affected exam dates:
Saturday, February 23, 2019
Geography, Psychology, Music, Philosophy, Education, Clothing for the Family
Tuesday, February 26, 2019
General English
'Rest of the papers w.e.f. 01-03-2019 shall be held as per the date sheet already notified,' read another statement in JKBOSE's notification released today. Candidates who were to appear for the HSE Part-II Jammu Division are advised to keep a tab on the official website to know the revised exam dates once its announced by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and meanwhile prepare for the rest of the examinations as per the original schedule.
