| Mother, daughter drowns in Solki river, Mendhar | | Three accident victims succumb | | Jammu Aug-28- A woman and her daughter lost their lives when they drowned in Solki river in Mendhar area, three accident victims succumbed to their injuries, while two persons sustained injuries in a road accident near Ramban. A Police spokesman said today that Sakani Bi wife of Mohammed Bashir and their daughter Suriya of Kheri Galuth tehsil Mendhar drowned when they were crossing Solki river falling under Dharmsal Police station. While the dead body of Sakina Bi was recovered, the body of her daughter was still untraced. The spokesman said that three persons who were injured in separate road accidents and admitted in Government Medical College Hospital here for treatment succumbed to their injuries. The deceased have been identified as Shaheen Akhtar daughter of Alam Din of Bari Darhal Rajouri, Pushpa Devi wife of Behari Lal of Rehari Colony and Munish Kumar Bakshi son of Satinder Bakshi of Veer Marg Jammu. In the meantime, two persons got injured when a Maruti car NO JK02F/ 9100 on its way from Srinagar to Jammu met with an accident near Kela Morh and rolled down about 100 feet deep gorge. The injured identified as Ankur Agarwal son of Ramesh Chander Agarwal of Delhi, the driver of the vehicle, and Raman Preet son of Kawi Kartar Singh of Sanik Colony Jammu were shifted to Emergency Hospital Ramban for treatment.
