Rafiq Ahmed Shawl, former Deputy Director and resident of Rajouri today joined Congress party at a function held at PCC headquarters here today.
Dharm Paul Sharma former MP and senior Vice President, Parduman Singh MLC and vice president and other senior party leaders who were present on the occasion welcomed him in the party fold.
Speaking on the occasion, Dharm Paul said that Rafiq’s father late Abdul Aziz Shawl was the MLA and parliamentary secretary legislative assembly and served the people of Rajouri for a long time. With his joining the party, a person like Rafiq, who is an educated and has lust to serve the people, will certainly strengthen the party in the district.
Reposing full faith on the leadership of Congress party and its policies and programmes, Rafiq pledged to serve the people of his area and work dedicatedly to strengthen the party in the border district. |
