| League hockey tournament next month | | | Early Times Reporter

The Jammu and Kashmir Hockey Association (JKHA), to provide exposure to the players during off-season, is holding a league tournament at K K Hakhu Stadium, here next month.
In an attempt to ensure maximum participation, the Association has already started exercise of intimating the affiliated clubs and seeking their confirmation.
“The main aim behind holding the league tournament is to provide the players exposure by keeping them engaged during off-season. Hopefully, the competition shall start in the middle of next month at K K Hakhu Stadium,” Resident Secretary of JKHA Jammu wing, P D Singh told Sports & Allied News.
He further said that a minimum of six regular teams will be competing in this league event. “The Association has decided to involve only those clubs which have regular teams so as to make it a competitive and useful event. The exercise has already started and affiliated clubs are being informed about the competition,” he said. |
