A village defence committee (VDC) member was killed by militants in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said today.
Kamaljeet Singh - a VDC member along with four others went for hunting in forest belt in Bhaderwah tehsil of the district last evening, they said.
As militants appeared during the hunting, while other members managed to flee, Singh was shot dead, they added.
His body was recovered by the police and handed over to family for last rites. |
