Designs of enemies of peace exposed: Chaman
4/17/2008 11:13:04 PM

Jammu | Apr 17
Emphasizing for taking due note about the serious developments taking place in Jammu and Kashmir as also across the borders, the former Union Minister and a senior leader of the BJP, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta observed that reports about erecting of mobile towers by Pakistan along the Indo-Pak border as also the retaining of the infrastructure of cross border terrorism including the existence of large number of training camps, both on the soil of Pakistan and Pak-Occupied Kashmir, clearly indicated the designs of enemies of the peace.
But the dangers are coupled when from within the country the voices are raised to suit the elements operating from other side of the Pak/PoK, he added and opined that enemy from within is more dangerous than working outside.
Commenting upon the controversial vision being putforth by ruling and other leaders of the state, Prof. Gupta said that as far as Pakistan is concerned, despite some change in the government there, one should not expect much as that country is always guided by three a viz Allah of fundamentalists, army and America, he added and regretted that bigger problem are the ruling Congress and its allies who are having no Kashmir policy right from the said communal partition of the country in 1947.
Terming the PDP, National Conference and some others parrotting dual currency, safe passage to the ultras holed in PoK/Pak, withdrawal of troops, violation of human rights, self-rule, autonomy and what not, as spoiled lot of the Congress leadership, Prof. Gupta said these elements were devoid of any national outlook and they always exploited religion to black-mail India by raising slogans which directly and indirectly favoured the enemy of the country.
The BJP leader alleged that this isolation amongst certain Kashmir leaders was the result of pampering approach of the Congress which negates the fact that Jammu and Kashmir an integral part of India. This also include PoK and the position of Pakistan is that of an aggressor which was made clear unanimously by adopting a resolution by the Parliament in 1994.
He asked the Congress leadership to opt for some clear cut policies on Kashmir instead of indulging confusing and double talk of converting Line of Control into a line of peace and draw jointly the benefits of land and water of this state.
About the dual currency suggestion, Prof. Gupta said that this would made the task of those elements who are surviving on the Halwala funds. Unless cross border terror is stopped and the mentors of militancy are not dealt with under law, all suggestions are meaningless.
