Early Times Reporter Doda | Apr 17 Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today inaugurated the OPD block of the 200-bed upcoming new district hospital being constructed here at a cost of Rs. 32 crore. The OPD block, costing Rs. 4 crore, had been completed in two years. Surgical, medical, ortho, ENT, ophthalmology, physiotherapy, gynae, and obstetrics facilities have been made available in the block. The block has also examination rooms and lab for conducting various tests. Orders for CT Scan for the hospital have already been placed. The Emergnecy, IPD, operation theatre blocks of the hospital would be completed by September this year. It may be recalled that the Chief Minister had been taking keen interest in the up-gradation of health infrastructure in the State and construction of new district hospitals was a part of the programme he had been personally pursuing. Minister for R&B, Jugal Kishore, Minister of State for Tourism, G. M. Saroori, MP, Lal Singh, MLA Abdul Majid Wani, Secretary, Health, K. B. Jandial, Mnaging Director, JKPCC, Dilip Thusoo, and DDC Doda, K. A. Bhat were present on the occasion. |
