| Zargar lays foundation of housing flats at Sidhra | | Parsvnath launches another housing project | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 17 Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives Mr. Abdul Aziz Zargar has asked the Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Housing Corporation and other building agencies to create affordable and cost effective housing facilities in the state so that common man is able to have shelter with least investment. He said that this has become imperative due to growing demand of housing requirements and rising process. Mr. Zargar was addressing a function after inaugurating a housing colony built by Parsvnath Developers Ltd. at Sidhra today. Mr. Zargar also laid foundation of other housing flats coming up at the same site and also attended the Bhoomi Poojan. He said that public private partnership (PPP) is proving very helpful for providing housing facilities, but at the same time he suggested the public and private building agencies to see that the purchasers of built flats are not exploited for want of huge profits. The Minister further elaborated that the cooperative sector is venturing into house building in collaboration with other public and private sector units to create more and more housing facilities in the state for which government was providing every assistances to them. He said that the state needed one lakh houses at the moment for which the cooperatives will have a more responsible role to play. Complimenting the Parsvnath Developers Ltd for creating housing facilities in the state Mr. Zargar said that the ltd. has so far created 400 residential units and is executing some more housing projects here. Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Mr. Kavinder Gupta, Deputy Mayor Mr. Dharamveer Singh Jamwal, Registrar Cooperatives Mr. G. N. Qasba, officers of Cooperatives department and Members of Parsvnath Developers Ltd and some allotees of the flats were also present on the occasion. |
