Jammu | Apr 17
The Centre of Indian Trade Unions have appealed all the unions and workers to lend their support to the striking Coal Mine workers who are on strike for the last three months in support of their genuine demands.
Nirdosh Uppal Joint Secretary in a hand out said that the workers are struggling for the last three months for clearance of their pending wages of last seven months besides release of 17 points of COLA in their favour.
Uppal claimed that the workers are on fast unto death inside the mine for the last ten days. He criticized the management and the government for delaying the payment of well earned wages to the workers. He claimed that the profits earned by the Coal Mines are being diverted towards non-productive expenses and to the closed units of JK Industries leaving the working at their mercy.
