| Traders claim cutting margin on sales | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 17 Expressing serous concern over the inflation which is raising day by day and as the result of which the prices of various essential commodities are shooting up, the Associated Chamber of Trader Federation (ACTF) has decided to cut down their margin share to bring the cost of commodities down. Addressing a press conference here today president ACTF Yash Pal Gupta, welcomed the step taken by the government by reducing the import duties and announcing the subsidy on edible oils. He said that inflation is not only the problem of state or country only but it is the main problem of the world economy. He added that since the J&K state is a consumer state and produces very little, so it has to depend on the supply from outside the state and therefore has to bear the burnt of the prices hike. He said that during the times of crisis it is the duty of every citizen to rise above the party politics and take step to take country out of the present crisis. In this regard the trader federation has decided to cut down their margin share of profit heavily, so that the suffering of the consumers gets solved to some extent, he added. |
