| Kemu’s three works released | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 17 Modern trends in contemporary theatre were discussed in a specially organized function here in connection with release of three books written by noted theartist, writer and playwright Moti Lal Kemu. In this connection a prestigious function was organized at Abhinav Theater, in which besides releasing three books of Kemu, a Kashmiri music concert was also presented. The function was presided over by former director general, culture Mohammad Yousuf Taing. Dr. Rafeeq Massodi, secretary academy in his welcome address described the event as a milestone in the history of contemporary theatre when three books “Heemal-Naagrai” “ Rang Rajtarangni” and “Tota Tu Aaina” are being released. Dr. Masoodi hoped that it will provide new avenues for interaction among theatre lovers and play wrights of the state. He said that academy has always provided platform for such fruitful discussions. M.L Keemu, while speaking on the occasion said that though a lot of work has been done in the field of folk lore yet a lot needs to be done as the books release in the function are a step forward in this direction. Mohammad Yousuf Taing in his presidential address analyzed history of theatre in Kashmir and congratulated the academy for organizing such purposeful functions. A musical concert was presented by Ms. Usha Bandu, Deepali Wattal, Naina Sapru and Ravi Bhan. |
