Kishtwar | Apr 19
A local court today issued a show cause notice against SHO Kishtwar and an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police and directed them to remain present before the court on April 21.
The notice was issued by Munsiff Kishtwar on an application filed by five unemployed youth, who were arrested by the police on Thursday for allegedly assaulting Block Development Officer Drabshalla.
The applicants prayed that they were innocent and were booked by police in a false and frivolous case and the police was deliberately delaying filing of report before the court, where the applicants have moved a bail application.
The court after hearing the counsel for the applicants issued a notice against SHO Kishtwar Varinder Singh and ASI Ghulam Muhammad Giri to show cause as why the contempt proceedings should not be initiated against them.
The court further directed both the respondents to remain present in the court on the next date of hearing.
