| Charak inaugurates Fibre to Fashion designing annual exhibition | | | Early Times Reporter

Minister for Higher Education and ARI Trainings, Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak inaugurated an impressive Fibre to Fashion designing annual exhibition at Kala Kendra here today.
Accompanied by Chairperson, International Institute of Fashion Designing (IIFD), Ms. Vineeta Thakur and other faculty members, Mr Charak went round stalls of Interior Designing, Fashion Designing and Textile Designing put in exhibition at Kala Kendra today.
Addressing the function, Mr. Charak appreciated the efforts of IIFD in tapping and nurturing talent of Jammu youth during last one decade. He advised the management to work more for energizing the young blood in learning the trades being taught in the Institute and also in bringing laurels to the state.
Ms. Vineeta Thakur while presenting annual report of the institute said that the institute in technical collaboration with Annamali University awarded young graduate designers, who passed out with flying colours. They include Sheweta in fashion, Hardeep in Textiles and Yasudha in Interiers.
Ms. Vineeta appealed parents to encourage their children in these fields and help them still unexplored it needs to be introduced as a technical subject in our state Board curriculum.
Later, Mr. Charak awarded students of merit for their best performance. They include Meera, Rimphy, Sarohi, Hardeep Kour, Pawan Kumar, Aditya, Ritisha Augral, Kaniz Fatima, Shelly Gupta and Upasana.
Head of department Fashion Designing Ms. Urmila was also awarded as best faculty member.
A melodious song was presented by Ms. Pallavi and lively dance performance by Ms. Richa. |
