| Haji encourages young footballers | | Two-day Youth Development Football Tourney concludes | | Early Times Reporter

Expressing his happiness over Iqbal Sports hosting a young development tournament for the young and upcoming footballers, the Minister for Sports, Haji Nissar Ali today assured of all possible help to the budding talent.
Speaking at the concluding function of the first ever competition of its kind in Jammu, Minister congratulated the organizers and stressed the need for holding more such competitions which focus on the young talent, especially the beginners.
“Such events help both coaches and the Association to identify and then groom the potential footballers into future stars,” said the Minister while speaking to the finalist teams of under-16 and under-14 age groups at Gulshan Ground, here.
He also encouraged the players identified by the coaches and organizers of the tournament as future stars assuring them of all possible help from the government.
Earlier, both the finals of two-day Youth Development Tournament ended in draw resulting into the organizing declaring teams as joint winners.
In the under-16 group, the BSF Coaching Centre held Coaching Centre Parade to a goalless draw. And, to encourage the young footballers, the organizers declared them joint winners.
Later, in the evening, the final between Coaching Centre Satwari and Coaching Centre GGM Science College ended in a 1-1 draw. Again, the organizers declared them joint winner.
Besides the Minister for Sports, the concluding function was attended by Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Ravinder Gupta, president Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Ram Sahai and Resident Secretary Jammu wing of JKFA, Shiv Pal Sharma. |
