Jammu | Apr 20
Anti youth policies of the coalition government has created explosive situation, said Ajay Sadhotra, Provincial President J&K National Conference Jammu province while addressing a youth rally here today at Halqa, Block headquarters of the Marh Assembly Constituency.
The rally was organized by the Youth National Conference unit of Block Marh.
Charging the coalition government of creating unrest & frustration among the common youth, Sadhotra said "government has failed to provide employment to the youth. The youth are even discouraged when they opt for self employment".
It is very unfortunate that even after 5 ½ years of coalition government's rule the promise of the government to constitute a committee for tackling the unemployment problem is never fulfilled and all those tall claims and promises which the present dispensation (Congress –PDP) has made with the people at the time of 2002 elections are fallen flat.
He said the people of the state seek a reply from the government that if the govt. is not able to create employment avenues for the unemployment youth of the state, why the government is hell bent upon closing all the doors of employment to the less educated youth that is middle pass.
He told the rally that after coming to power National Conference is committed to review the decision of qualification bar for Class IVth and Police Constables from Matric to Middle standard.
NC Provincial President asked the youth to be aware of hollow sloganeering of the present regime and not get misguided by the false promises which are going to be made by the coalition partners in the coming days.
Govt is making tall claims that liberal funding is being done by Govt of India, but it is not understood as to why the problems of the youth are not being solved, and why no steps have been taken by the coalition government to give some solace to the unemployed youth, he said.
He asked the youth to strengthen National Conference leadership Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah in order to get their problems mitigated.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Rajinder Kumar, Raj Kumar, Darshan Lal, Rakesh Kumar, Jagdish Bhagat, Satpal Lakhotra, Distt President, Th. Baldev Singh Block President Marh, Vijay Lochan, Prof. H.R. Sharma, Darshana Bhagat, Tarseem Singh and others.
