Political leaders grab wafaq property: alleges Sartaj

Alleging that the leaders of political parties are forcibly grabbing the properties belonging to Waqaf Board, Mohammed Sharief Sartaj has urged the Chief Minister to constitute a committee on the pattern of SGPC to deal waqaf affairs.
Addressing a press conference here today, President, Muslim Action Committee Mohd. Sharief Sartaj expressed serious concern over the mall functioning of Waqaf Islamia. He said that successive state governments have failed to protect the waqaf property donated by the Muslims for the welfare of their poor brethren. He said that this property has been grabbed by the politicians with the help of land grabbers.
Various Mosques, Ziariats, grave yards and Eidgah have been grabbed by the political leaders he alleged and called for strict action against the land grabbers.
Ghulam Rasool, Mohd. Anwar Choudhary, Liaquat Khan and Haji Mohammed Hussain were also present at the press conference.
