The worst individual rivalries within the party came to fore taking all those present by surprise when senior Congress Minister Mangat Ram Sharma and his party collogue Memeber Parlaiment Madan Lal Sharma indulged in worst type of mud slinging during Jammu District Development Board Meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Reliable sources said that Madan Lala Sharma and his brother and MLA Akhnoor constituency on one side targeted Mangat Ram alleging him off amassing huge wealth when the later could not satisfy the MLA and MP brothers over the non implementation of decision of setting up PHC at each constituency as taken in the last meeting of the Board.
The verbal duel, which started with exchange of hot words, soon turned into a spate of leveling serious allegations and hurling abuses not even caring about the presence of Chief Minister and Senior most officers of this state.
Sources further said that the brothers did not spare even the Chief Minister on the occasion accusing him using pick and choose method for development of areas.
The MP and MLA brothers even threatened Mangat of complaining about him at the center and demand an inquiry into the property he has allegedly amassed, sources present on the occasion said.
Mangat on the other hand dared the later to do so and said that he was ready to face inquiry but a similar inquiry should be ordered against them, sources added.
"The scene was like the women next door shouting at each other, while the officers watched the entire drama with their eyes widespread when Health Minister and Member Parlaiment Madan Lal Sharma started hurling abuses and leveling charges of amassing wealth by unfair means at Jammu District Development Board Meeting headed by Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad last evening," sources added.
