At a joint condolence meeting of Pradesh Congress Committee and District Congress Committee Jammu Urban, rich tributes were paid to late Amar Chand of Bahu Fort former Municipal Councilor who passed away here today. The meeting presided over by Om Chopra, ex-MLA and President DDC Jammu, Urban was attended among others by Parduman Singh, Amrit Malhotra, R S Chib, Legislators, Yash Paul Khajuria, Shiv Dev Singh, Vinod Sharma, Swaran Lata, Kanta Bhan, Indu Pawar, Ravinder Sharma, Darshan Raina, Shiv Kumar Shama, Nazir Ahmed, Mohammed Saleen and Raj Kumar Bajaj.
Dharampal Sharma described late Amar Chand a silent speaking person, a thorough gentleman and friend of down trodden. His death has created a wedge which is difficult to be filled up, he added.
Om Chopra said that Amar Chand was a true and sincere Congressman and was elected as block president uncontested. |
