Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 22 Various Sikh organizations in an emergent meeting held under the chairmanship of Mohinder Singh Chief Organizer Bhai Kanahiya Nishkam Seva Society discussed the problems being faced by the Refugees of 1947. The meeting expressed its concern over neglecting these refugees all these years. The meeting expressed the hope that the Prime Minister who is arriving here on April 25 would announce a package for the refugees which has been pending since long. The meeting demanded that Rs.20 lakhs per family be paid to the refugees, besides reserving quota in government jobs. The Seva Society threatened to boycott the ensuring Assembly elections if the demands of the refugees are not conceded to by the government till then. The meeting, among others, was attended by Narbir Singh, President Shiromani Youth Akali Dal, Paramjit Singh President AISSF, Manmohan Singh Chairman Gole Gujral, Kulwant Singh, CASN Sabha, Satinder Pal Sinth , Member FGPC, Jammu, Kultar Singh, Gujjan Singh Simbal Camp, Hajeet Singh Kartar, Davinder Singh and Harbans Kour. |
