| Educated unemployed look forward to a special employment package, Bashir | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 22 General Secretary PDP Youth Wing Bashir Assad today demanded setting up of an "Overseas Employment Agency" in the state which would be entrusted the job of identifying the employment avenues for the skilled and unskilled educated unemployed state-subjects in the Gulf and other Arabic and Western countries. Bashir Assad disclosed that a proposal to this effect was mooted by PDP Patron Jenab Mufti Muhammad Sayed when he was heading the coalition government but could not be translate into action due to change of guard in the state. Bashir Assad stated this while addressing the executive committee meeting of People's Democratic Students Federation (PDSF) of Srinagar District at party headquarters. "Youth of the state are very sensitive and have the ability to make a distinction between friends and foes. The adolescents of the current epoch have come up through the long turmoil of 18 years; they understand the politics and are mature enough to evaluate the performance of all political forces active in the state" Assad said. Bashir Assad urged upon the government to strictly adhere to a transparent employment policy taking into account merit and requirement. Assad said that the educated unemployed youth of the state were expecting a special employment package for the state on the eve of Prime Ministers visit to the state on 25th of this month. He asserted that unemployment was the biggest impediment in the development of the state. |
