The Khadi Village & Industries Board has cleared 416 projects with margin money of Rs 2.64 crores to generate employment opportunities for 5922 persons in the state under KVI sector.
This was revealed in a review meeting of Standing Finance Committee (SFC) of KVI sector held here today under the chairmanship of Minister for Industries and Commerce. Nawang Rigzin Jora.
It was also apprised that as many as 2930 Small Industrial Units have been set up with the bank loan of Rs 56.76 crore involving a margin money of Rs 16.62 crore providing employment opportunities to 41642 persons by ending April this year under Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP) of KVIB.
Among others, Secretary KVIB Mr. R. C. Sharma and other senior officers of KVI sector attended the meeting.
Earlier, the Minister chaired Annual General Meeting of share holders of J&K Minerals Limited which was attended by Commissioner/Secretary Finance Mr. B.B.Vyas, Secretary Industry and Commerce Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Director Industries and Commerce Mr.Pardeep Gupta and Managing Director JK Minerals Ltd. S.S.S. Anand.
