| Oil tankers drivers union holds meeting | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 22 A meeting of the executive body of the J&K oil Tankers Drivers Union was held under the presidentship of S. Ranjit Singh Raina where several demands and problems were discussed. As per press release, the meeting expressed grave concern over the non-increase of salary of the drivers and cleaners for the last four years and demanded increase in salary as per minimum wage act. The union further demanded that the Provident fund and ESI amounts be regularly deducted and deposited in the office of Dy. Commissioner Provident funds regularly. The release further added that the union pointed out at Army locations, they face several difficulty in measuring the oils properly and also demanded to stop harassment to the Tank Drivers, the release added. |
