| HC reserves order in a petition seeking CBI investigation in Chopra’s murder case | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 22 Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain, after two days of hearing on much publicized murder case of RB Chopra and his wife, daughter, servant and driver, in a petition filed by the son of deceased RB Chopra seeking CBI Investigation reserved the order. After hearing detailed arguments of Additional Advocate General BS Salathia appearing for the State, Advocates DS Thakur and Pranav Kohli appearing for the petitioner and Adv Navneet Dubey appearing for the CBI, Justice Hussain reserved the order. Only yesterday the Additional Advocate General had filed the record of investigation including the CDs of investigation of the accused; Court after hearing the AAG BS Salathia had adjourned the case for today. Today Justice Imtiyaz Hussain, after hearing both the sides in which the Advocates appearing for State, petitioner and CBI, argued in length and presented their case. Court considering all the facts reserved the case for order. Earlier, the High Court had restrained the investigating agency from presenting the challan in the competent Court. CBI also filed objections as per the direction of the Court and while the State filed status report yesterday in which the case took new turn as the deceased Jagan Nath, driver of deceased RB Chopra, was mentioned as one of the conspirator in much publicized murder of Chopra family.
