Vishwakarma Biradari demands reservation as per SC orders

Jammu, Mar 25: A gathering of Vishwakarma Biradari was held at Lord Vishwakarma Temple Diagana, which was attended by a large population of the Biradari from various communities, all the office bearers of the Vishwakarma Biradari from all Districts of Jammu region. The occasion was graced by Justice RC Gandhi as the Chief Guest. The speaker said that the purpose of the gathering was to explore the reasons as to why the Biradari is lacking in getting the reservation of 27% (cap fixed by the Supreme Court) whereas the population of the OBC in J&K as per the census report of National Sample Survey Organisation is 41%.
The speakers also informed the gathering that despite a request made for seeking time for meeting the Governor from different three sources to bring it to the notice of the Governor to grant 2% more reservation recommended by the popular government, which file is lying on the table of the Governor.
He added that the government has recommended simultaneously as a one case to grant reservation 3% to Paharis, 3% to people living on International Border and 2% to OBC. It was decided to field Laba Ram Gandhi a Refugee leader, besides belonging to the OBC to context the election who will be extended full support as his workers to campaign and financially also.
Further it was also resolved that the government should declared Lord Vishwakarma day as Holiday which is long pending demand of the Baradhari.
