| JCCB management thanks Zargar for reviving Cooperatives | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 23 Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives Abdul Aziz Zargar has appreciated the efforts of Jammu Central Cooperative Bank (JCCB) for achieving encouraging increase in credit debit ratio and having played a tremendous role in business activities in the states. He was addressing the management and representatives of the employees of the JCCB here today who had gathered to thank the Cooperatives Minister Mr. Abdul Aziz Zargar for bringing out the cooperatives and its banks especially JCCB out of debt trap. Mr.Zargar said that under one time settlement Rs 80 crore in 20 equal installments were being provided to JCCB to settle the long outstanding default of the JAKFED. The Chairman of JCCB Mr. M. S.Tariq informed the Minister that the deposits of JCCB have touched to Rs 693 crore by ending March 2008 against 403 crore during the year 2001 while as advances have reached to Rs 243 crores as against Rs 117 crores in the year 2001 likewise investments have increased from Rs 217 crore to 309 crore and the recovery from 51 percent to 65 percent during the same. Mr. Tariq also thanked Commissioner Secretary Finance B.B. Vyas and other senior officers of Cooperatives for restoring the creditability of JCCB. |
