NYK Kathua organizes awareness campaign on HIV

KATHUA, Mar 26: Nehru Yuva Kendra Kathua has launched a massive campaign to generate awareness on HIV/AIDS and Drugs Abuse among rural Youth and masses, in collaboration with State AIDS Prevention and Control Society, Kathua Police, Health Department and organizing Out Of School Youth Programme on HIV/AIDS and Sensitization with active participation of non school going Youth of Youth Club, Mahila Mandal Panchayat and Rural Community. NYK Kathua has organized Out Of School Youth Programme on HIV/AIDS and Sensitization Training programme at Govindsar ward No:5, in which over 125 participants both male and female participated. Dr. Akash Medical Officer from Health Department educated and trained the youth about the HIV/AIDS, how it spreads, its Symptoms, methods of its prevention, facilities for curing it at Govt. Hospitals and role of Youth and parents to sensitize the youth for restrain unmarried sex and restore for safe sex. Som Datt Zard, DYC, Kathua in his address he stressed upon Youth and parents to be friendly with children and win their confidence so that children can express their views and challenges freely with parents and educate them about the safe sex and check and control over movements of the children so that they may not fell in the trap of Drugs abuse. If somebody is under drugs addiction then they can get free treatment at District Hospital and police line.
