| Presentation Convent organizes debate competition | | | Early Times Reporter

Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School Gandhi Nagar, Jammu organized the Annual Nano Nagle Memorial inter school debate competition today in the school premises in which prominent schools of the city participated. Special Secretary, Health and Education Department of J&K Govt, Chandra Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.
The participants expressed their fervent opinions for and against the topic “Women Empowerment is Merely an Eyewash”. The competition was adjudged by Dr Rita Saldanha, Deptt of English, University of Jammu, Dr Shashi Koul and Dr Hemla, both directors Centre for Women Studies and senior faculty members of GCW Parade and Gandhi Nagar.
The event was sponsored by ING Vysa of India steered by the alumni association members of the school, Ritu Gupta and Rashi Sachdeva. First prize was bagged by Nakul Mehta of JK Public School, second prize went to Raj Kumar of BSF Paloura. Third prize was won by Saman Choudhary of Presentation Convent while the consolation prize was awarded to Monika Koul from SOS Hermann Gmenier School. The prestigious Nano Nagle rolling trophy was awarded to the team of BSF Paloura comprising of Raj Kumar and Chitwan Bakshi. |
