| Parshu Ram Jayanti to be celebrated on May 7 | | | Early Times Reporter

Parshu Ram Jayanti which falls on Akshay Tritiya every year is being celebrated with great gaiety and fervour on May 7, 2008. As a part of the celebrations of the day, Parshu Ram Janam Utsav Shoba Yartra Simiti has decided to take out shoba yatra on May 6 from Radio station chowk in which thousands of people from all walks of life are expected to participate. The yatra will pass through different bazaars of the city. The shoba yatra is being designed in unique way to depicting various cultures. Different bands/drums will also play its tunes while on the other side Bhajans would be sung.
The Samati is also planning to take out Parbat Pasheri on April 27 from Radio Station chowk.
The Samiti has expressed thanks to several social organizations for extending whole hearted cooperation and support in this regard. It has also appealed the general public to participate in large numbers in the proposed Shoba Yatra and join the Murti Sathapana of Bhagwan Shri Parsho Ram being held on April 28 on the banks of Tawi River Chanderbaga Akhnoor. |
