| BJP Janipur Mandal organizes protest demonstration; burn effigy of Congress-PDP | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 25 Led by Mandal President Dinesh Gupta, activists of Janipur Mandal of BJP, today held a demonstration at New Plot and burnt the effigy of Congress party and Mufti Mohd Sayeed to register protest against the statement of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, stony silence of the Congress over the issue and failure of the congress-PDP alliance to control the prices of essential food items. Dinesh Gupta, on this occasion, said that continuation of the Congress-PDP alliance in the state is not in favour of the nation and the nationalist forces. He said PDP patron Mufti Mohd. Sayeed has committed a serious crime by demanding use of Pakistani currency in Jammu and Kashmir and the Congress is guilty of giving liberty to PDP leader. He said Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and hence only Indian rupee can be used here. Any one making such demand should be booked and sentenced. Dinesh Gupta also took the Congress-PDP coalition to task for not taking effective steps to mitigate the sufferings of common masses. He said the prices of essential food items have touched record breaking heights. Today, a common citizen can not feed his family properly. But unfortunately, instead of working for the welfare and development, PDP leaders, every now and then, rake up such issues which are against the paramount national interests and the Congress sits as mute spectator. No one can dare to make such statements unless there is some backing. He suspected some secret understanding between Congress and PDP to remain in power. Such a thing is not healthy for the nation and the people and as such Congress-PDP alliance must quit. BJP leaders including Surinder Sharma, Balbir Ram, Kuldeep Magotra, Rajinder Sharma, Parduman Singh, Rakesh Gupta, Vijay Sharma, Amrik Singh, Balwan Singh, Ashok Gandhi, Pranav Gupta, Subhash Sharma, Sunil Gupta, Kuldeep Kumar, Meera Samral, Manu Mahajan and Kanhaya Lal Dhar were prominent among those who took part in the protest demonstration. |
